One dead as Boko Haram attacks Nigeria army base

Boko Haram militants attacked an army base in northeast Nigeria, killing one soldier, military sources told AFP Friday, a day after regional leaders urged more international support to fight the jihadists.

Deputy Marshal Killed By Suspect Ryan Schlesinger While Serving Arrest Warrant







A U.S. deputy marshal was shot and killed while serving an arrest warrant against a suspect
 Thursday, Tucson Police Department's Chief of Police Chris Magnus confirmed.
The federal agent was involved in a standoff with the suspect, Ryan Schlesinger, 26, who was wanted by the police for allegedly stalking a law enforcement officer and had barricaded himself inside a house. The shooting took place at the 2600 block of North 15th Avenue, near West Jacinto Street, Tucson, Arizona, at 5:30 p.m. local time (7: 30 p.m. EST), Tucson.com reported.

49-year old father of five allegedly commits suicide inside Ekiti State secretariat over huge debt (Photo)





There was confusion at Ekiti State Secretariat on Wednesday morning as a civil servant identified as Abolarinwa Olaoye, allegedly hanged himself under suspicious circumstances. The body of the 49-year-old night guard at the State Scholarship Board was found hanging at the staircase behind the office.

Two men were dragged out of a jail cell, beaten and burned alive by an angry mob after rumors accusing the men of being child abductors spread rapidly via WhatsApp.
