How do we fare in SA when it comes to women judges in our highest courts?
According to the Helen Suzman Foundation, Justice Mandisa Maya is the first woman president of the Supreme Court of Appeals and by 2016, "86 of the 242 judges occupying permanent positions in the country were women".

Previous justices at the Constitutional Court include Yvonne Mokgoro, Kate O'Regan and currently Sisi Khampepe, Nonkosi Mhlantla and Leona Theron serve the court.
