Teenage dancer found dead in park as friends pay tribute to 'beautiful soul'


Codey Brown, 18, was found by police at a park in Kilmarnock yesterday and a post-mortem will now take place to establish the exact cause of death


Tributes have flooded in for a teenage dancer who was found dead near to a park in Scotland yesterday.
Codey Brown, 18, was found by police at Dean Street, Kilmarnock , at 4.30pm on Sunday, March 17, the Daily Record reported .
Friends of the popular teen have expressed their shock and devastation over the news and have come out in support of her grieving family.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious, police say.
Georgina Reid said: "Codey Brown was one in a million. She were always laughing and making you smile every second when you were with her. You were such an amazing friend and I will never forget you!"

Rachel Bell said: "Rest in peace you beautiful girl. I’d never met anyone quite like you. I hope you’ll always have the same place in your heart for me that you have in mine. I hope you’re no longer in any darkness and that you’re finally at rest. I love you."
Nicole Bell said: "Sleep tight princess, love you millions Codey Brown, you are one in a million."
Emma Friels Hunter said: "My heart is completely broken losing this beautiful, talented & amazing girl! I have loved seeing you grow up from that tiny wee girl in our youth team to dancing alongside you & being able to call you a friend!"
Robert McGinney said: "Just sunk in that I'll never see my best friend ever again, can't believe you're gone.
"Will miss you every day until we meet again, rest easy kid, love you always Codey Brown."
A police spokesman  said: "At around 4.40pm yesterday an 18-year-old girl was found dead near to a park on Dean Street, Kilmarnock.
"A post mortem will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however police are not treating the death as suspicious.
"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
